We made a quick trip to Houston to visit family and made a mini-vacation out of it. We went to the Downtown Aquarium and the Children's Museum and everyone had fun, toddler and adults alike!

Welcome to the Houston Downtown Aquarium!

Alligators (not to be confused with elevators, which is pronounced the same by Tyler)

Thanks, wasn't planning on it.

Oohhhh, a tree frog!

Scuba diver cleaning the tanks -- Tyler was terrified

Octopus

A really creepy eel

Look, more fish!

Somehow, I thought the piranhas would look meaner

You know, something like this

Lazy lizard

Fish, fish everywhere!

Cheeeese!

Lion fish

Ssssnake!

Really big snake!

Stingray pool

Kids could crawl under the stingray pool...

...and it's Tyler in a bubble!

A little scared of the shark

There, Daddy's glasses make it all better!

Going to ride the shark train

All aboard!

Self-portrait time

Into the shark tunnel

More tank cleaners, these with shark sticks

Da dum, da dum...

He had to use the shark stick on this one

Sawfish

Sharks, sharks everywhere!

A little traumatized by the shark tunnel

And then this guy popped up and traumatized all of us

Ferris wheel!

He was a little scared at first

but he really did have fun on the ferris wheel!

Fun with the photo booth

Lunch at the aquarium restaurant

Apparently, this guy thought our lunch looked good

Look, fish watching us eat!

In the stairwell of the restaurant

Children's Museum of Houston

Huge memory game

Riddle me this...

Four Tylers!

Mmmm, the matoes look good today!

Fishing with Daddy

Caught one!

Bye bye museum!
